Meet Clair, who at age 10, started ceedee soaps LLC.
Clair has always had a love for creating things, and has shown signs of having a entrepreneurial nature. As a lot of kids do, she also opened her curbside drink stand at an early age, but it didn't seem as if that were enough.
In 2008, as Clair was becoming more involved with the internet through school, she starting asking questions. And asking. And asking.
"Dad, what can I sell on the internet?"
"Well, anything you can think of. If you think of something, I'll help you all the way."
And this was the back-and-forth routine for a couple months, until one day as we were discussing it, we both stumbled upon the idea of making soap. Although neither of us knew anything on the subject, it seemed to fit the bill of allowing creation with the potential of providing some education in science and business.
So we started studying. Before long, ceedee soaps was official, and with a couple of recipes nailed down and a few batches made, it launched. And a week later, she was sold out.
So here we are, making soap, meeting people, and (both) learning all the way. I hope this journey is long and enjoyable one, as Clair continues to grow her business and as a person.

The Soap
Clair (with her dad's help in the kitchen of course) creates and produces every bar of soap. She made a decision early on to not include any artificial or chemical ingredients, such as detergents or even fragrance oils (opting for natural essential oils instead). Ingredients are bought organic and local as available.
Once a "flavor" is decided, all the ingredients are tweaked and re-tweaked to make a bar high in hardness, moisturizing, and cleansing abilities. All calculations are ran through an online chemical calculator to ensure a balanced and safe bar of soap.
